Aara Indian Restaurant ("we", "us") runs this website and the restaurant at 108-109 Icknield Street, Birmingham B18 6RZ. This policy explains what personal data we collect through the site and what we do with it.

What we collect

Bookings: when you request a table we collect your name, mobile number, email address, and the details of your request (date, time, guests, occasion, any notes you add) plus your marketing preference.

Collection orders: your name, mobile number, optional email address, your chosen collection time and the contents of your order.

Enquiries: your name, email address, optional phone number, subject and message.

Technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider records basic request logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and to protect against abuse. If you accept analytics cookies, anonymous usage statistics are collected (see our cookie policy).

How we use it

We use your details to process and confirm booking requests and collection orders, to respond to enquiries, and — only if you opt in — to send you occasional news and offers. We do not sell your data or use it for automated decision-making.

Who processes it for us

Booking, order and enquiry emails are delivered through Resend, our transactional email provider, which processes data on our instructions under a data processing agreement. The site is hosted on a managed Next.js host (server logs only). No other third parties receive your data unless required by law.

How long we keep it

Booking and order correspondence is kept while needed to run the restaurant and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw marketing consent at any time. Email hello@aaraindian.com or call 0121 389 9882.
